At 2:18 A.M. on Monday, January 8, 2024, United Launch Alliance (ULA) launched Peregrine Mission One aboard their new Vulcan rocket. Vulcan lifted off flawlessly and carried Astrobotic's Peregrine Lunar Lander onward to the moon. Roughly seven hours liftoff, Peregrine started experiencing anomalies. Ultimately, due to a fuel leak, it was announced that Peregrine would not make it to the moon for the scheduled landing attempt on February 23rd.
