October 18, 2025: 17,500 peaceful protesters showed up in downtown Tampa as part of the nationwide "No Kings 2.0" protest to protest President Donald Trump and his authoritative take over of the U.S. Government. The protest occurred on the 18th day of the U.S. Government shutdown. Protesters marched from Tampa's City Hall to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
